Robert
Snellgrove is a Licensed Master Social Worker - Advanced Clinical
Practitioner in private practice in Houston. With over 10 years experience,
Mr. Snellgrove has worked with a wide variety of mental health issues,
from assisting people in achieving more meaningful relationships -
to the treatment of chronic mental illness. He specializes in the
treatment of depression, anxiety, relationship concerns and resolution
of childhood trauma. As a pioneer in the treatment of HIV since 1984,
Mr. Snellgrove is a frequent speaker on this and other important topics.
Graduating with honors from the University of Houston Graduate
School of Social Work, Mr. Snellgrove was Director of the Bering
Omega Care Center for 7 years where he worked with the chronically
mentally ill living with HIV. Additionally, he is the former Coordinator
of Chemical Dependency at the Montrose Counseling Center where he
won the Margaret Di Jacklin Student of the Year award.
Active in the community, Mr. Snellgrove has served on a number
of community boards including: the Board of Directors of Bering
Omega Community Services, the Clinical Advisory Board of Houston
Institute for the Protection of Youth and the Board of the University
of Houston Graduate School of Social Work Alumni Association. Mr.
Snellgrove is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Mr. Snellgrove uses an integrative therapeutic approach to best
meet the individual needs of his clients. He is known for his professional,
warm, some times humorous style of therapy conducted in a relaxed
and comfortable setting.
